It's all festive here!

Hi everyone! Been busy, feeling a little frazzled, I know. Don't worry not long now, you'll be able to put your feet up in your lovely new slippers. Watch cheesy Christmas TV whilst sipping a sweet sickly strangely coloured concoction that you wouldn't touch the rest of the year, but ok since it's Christmas! here we have been getting on with things and  finally I've found the time to put up our decorations.  I'm loving them very much this year How do you like these little chaps? And the 'ice house' And if you squizz really hard you might be able to make out  my very shabby chic vintage robin! Promise I'll get some better shots of him. In the hall the pictures have gone on holiday and Christmas has moved into the frames! The pictures are cards we have received this year and some groovy wrapping paper from B&Q! Arty shot taken in the mirror. The lounge is a riot of rainbow colour

Just wanted to share a bit of a non Christmassy thing. This is a project that I have worked on with the children in my class. Each one of the children made their own face and hilariously they are spitting images of each child. Enjoy Hope your Christmas preparations are going smoothly ♥Sue♥

It's been a good Wednesday

Christmas! We don't do it too early, what with all those birthdays. But secret Santa waits for no man and here is my gift. My recipient is a wonderful lady who always thinks of others before herself. I was thrilled to pick her out, and knowing her quite well I knew exactly what she would love. Just a simple jolly scarf. Needed a nice fringy thing on the ends. Lovely Japanese flower pattern. After much searching  I found this one here I used a lovely soft 4ply yarn Patons Fairytale dreamtime pure wool. In soft sweetie pink colours. Let me tell you. She was thrilled with her secret Santa gift and she guessed it was from me. LOL! There is nothing more lovely than making something for a person you care about and knowing you've given them a little bit of love and a little bit of you. What a lovely day. Today was also great because, I sold a cushion! Really On Folksy I sold my first cushion! Very exciting

I'm back!

And yes,  I did need my waterproofs! So where did we end up,  well it was very exciting travelling without knowing your destination. We ended up here in the lovely village of  Chideock in  Dorset! A place of little thatched cottages. So pretty. Let me tell you it was a perfect birthday surprise. Would you like to see what we got up to. Saturday morning the view from our bedroom,  a glimpse of sunshine.  Quick boots on lets get going. Quick stroll downhill to Seatown Fabulous clouds Lets hike to the top of Golden cap, off we go, bit muddy! Lovely scenery We made a new friend, he's so cute, I love his curly coat. It's very, very high. This is looking east. And west That's us! Right then down the other side,  come on Sue keep up. Tony showing me the way!?! Loads of toadstools We think these are called Scarlet Hood And these might be Verdigris toadstoo

Hi folks! Won't be around much this weekend, I'm being whizzed away for a birthday adventure. ♥ It's very exciting because  I don't know where I'm going! ♥ My lovely man has plotted and schemed and organised everything. All I know is I'm going to need my waterproofs! ♥ So have a great weekend, I know I'm going to. ♥ ♥Sue♥

Bad Light!

We're all moaning aren't we! It's so gloomy, so grey, so dark all day! I know, it's not nice.  We can't capture our beautiful colourful creations on camera  without draining the National Grid, things just don't look quite as gorgeous as they do when we snap them in beautiful bright sunlight do they! So I've given up trying to picture my hooky projects and headed outdoors. Because this is the season for the most beautiful stunning skies! Hope these shots cheer you all up,  yes it's grey,  but wow it's magnificent too! Ahh that was lovely wasn't it. Look up today you might see something wonderful! Happy Wednesday ♥Sue♥
