Getting There

Well I thought I was feeling better, but no, not really.
I've struggled through the last couple of weeks feeling mainly blerghhhh.
My ears are all blocked and everyone sounds like they are talking to me from inside a tin bucket!
On top of that I'm exhausted and a very unattractive shade of grey!
Should probably taken some time off work but the it's easier said than done especially when you work with small children, you feel so much like you're letting them down. At least I'm not alone with my affliction it seems we all have germs of one sort or another at the moment.........thanks to the aforementioned small children! The other reason why I couldn't take time off is the teachers were being observed by the Headteacher this week. Very stressful for all of us and all in all a nasty process.
Over now and both my teachers did well.
Anyway I've spent the day snuggled under my lovely ripple blanket and drinking plenty of herbal tea.
My Lovely Man is cooking dinner tonight too!
I am officially resting.
Maybe tomorrow I'll be full of beans again.
I have been doing a little bit of this and that, in slow time relaxing things, things that make me feel good inside.
Like spinning, getting better I think.

Working on my latest bag.
Lining in. Oh check out my new phone.
Not a clue how it works!

Pleased with the zip, although it did take about four attempts to get it in perfectly.
Brain mush not good for sewing.

No brainer crochet blanket, added bonus it keeps me warm while I'm crocheting away.

Oh and a delicious bit of dyeing this morning which finished me off, hence the snuggling under the blanket.

Hope you are avoiding any horrible germs.
Any home remedy tips gratefully received, I've drunk all the whisky!

Try this it tastes surprisingly good. I love your crafty adventures and hope you are feeling better soon. xxx

  2. oh Sue - you remind me why Ieft the profession! Sometimes a virus can take weeks to shift can't it? Which is hard at the start of term when the expectation is for you to be going full-steam. Half term in a few weeks...

Things are looking up!

Well hello! I'm a little bit back and it feels good! So what have I been doing? Weeeeeeel alot of things have happened since we last spoke. Let's have a round up. I spent quite a few months coping with fatigue and depression which meant a bit of a standstill with  pretty much everything. Glum times. Life was quiet, slow, gentle. I had to be careful and kind to myself but gradually I felt better found my energy and got back to normal ish. I found gardening and crochet two of the most therapeutic things to do. But the most restorative activity I've been enjoying is, well take a little look.

The Right Honourable Hector Albert Schnauzer

Possibly the happiest dog in the world.

He certainly make me happy, Who knew I'm a dog person! If you want to reduce your stress levels get a Hector! I thought long and hard before getting him, found a kennel club breeder and have spent a long time socializing and training him, he's been a complete joy so responsive and eager to learn. Just the …

Five Photo Friday

Last weekend saw another trip to the woods,  more beautiful bluebells and wild flowers.  It's so wonderful spending time outside in Nature.

I've also been spinning some gorgeous merino. Nice and thin!

Topped off with a little crochet play in the sunshine. Whilst I recover from my day out in the woods!  Yeah a whole week to get over one trip, Chronic Fatigue is RUBBISH!

Still least I can sit in my beautiful garden. How's your week been, what have you all been making, doing, enjoying? Do tell! Love ♥Sue♥

Five Photo Friday

Half term, it's been too short. It's been all about these gorgeous boys. Beautiful Brodie, two weeks today.

And Finlay the most fantastic two year old EVER! That's true, cos I'm his Nana. ♥
Finlay's birthday cake. Just so you all know, I'm never making a Thomas cake again, fiendishly tricky!

We also spent some time checking out Storm Brian. Very stunning he was too.

That's it, end of another holiday. Roll on Christmas then!!!!! Love ♥Sue♥
