Out and About

Well we're back now Chippenham was..........dry!
Also loads of fun, as you can see.
In case you're wondering, that's me on the left with the specs on.

Did you get in the Jubilee mood?
I must admit I'm not big on the Royals but did find myself having a hilarious Royale Family moment with Heather about the lovely frocks!
Speaking of which I do have a Royal connection
Well really Heather does, she met her when the Queen opened her school back in 90s.
Heather is about 13 I think. Her only comment about the day was how small the Queen was!

So apart from that we've been just spending the weekend relaxing, I've been busy with my crochet hook, I'll show you later. Tony has been up the scaffold that covers the front of our house, gluing the sandstone bay back together!
We did get out for a nice walk yesterday evening, best part of the day sunny and calm, we walked from Old Portsmouth all along the seafront and back home.
Starting in the Camber.

Fishing boats are wonderful messy, dirty places aren't they.

And always such a gorgeous colour.

Even when they're rusty.

Rippling water, just lovely.

All the way along to Eastney beach.

Gorgeous plants cover the beach.

I love the way the horizon is almost invisible, and look how calm the water is.

Some impressive clouds over Bransbury Park

Time to go home and relax. I love these long light evenings don't you.
Hope your weekend was relaxing and fun whatever the weather.
I'll be back with a nice hooky post very soon, lots to show you.
Love
♥Sue♥

  1. Gosh what gorgeous photos! A very picturesque place you live in. We have been enjoying the royal celebrations downunder too. Tonight we are watching a delayed coverage of the royal gala concert.

  2. Thanks Catherine, I think it's pretty lots of people would probably disagree, but beauty is in the eye an all that!
Glad you got to see all the celebrations too.

Things are looking up!

Well hello! I'm a little bit back and it feels good! So what have I been doing? Weeeeeeel alot of things have happened since we last spoke. Let's have a round up. I spent quite a few months coping with fatigue and depression which meant a bit of a standstill with  pretty much everything. Glum times. Life was quiet, slow, gentle. I had to be careful and kind to myself but gradually I felt better found my energy and got back to normal ish. I found gardening and crochet two of the most therapeutic things to do. But the most restorative activity I've been enjoying is, well take a little look.

Meet
The Right Honourable Hector Albert Schnauzer

Possibly the happiest dog in the world.

He certainly make me happy, Who knew I'm a dog person! If you want to reduce your stress levels get a Hector! I thought long and hard before getting him, found a kennel club breeder and have spent a long time socializing and training him, he's been a complete joy so responsive and eager to learn. Just the …

Five Photo Friday

Last weekend saw another trip to the woods,  more beautiful bluebells and wild flowers.  It's so wonderful spending time outside in Nature.

I've also been spinning some gorgeous merino. Nice and thin!

Topped off with a little crochet play in the sunshine. Whilst I recover from my day out in the woods!  Yeah a whole week to get over one trip, Chronic Fatigue is RUBBISH!

Still least I can sit in my beautiful garden. How's your week been, what have you all been making, doing, enjoying? Do tell! Love ♥Sue♥

Five Photo Friday

Half term, it's been too short. It's been all about these gorgeous boys. Beautiful Brodie, two weeks today.

And Finlay the most fantastic two year old EVER! That's true, cos I'm his Nana. ♥
Finlay's birthday cake. Just so you all know, I'm never making a Thomas cake again, fiendishly tricky!

We also spent some time checking out Storm Brian. Very stunning he was too.

That's it, end of another holiday. Roll on Christmas then!!!!! Love ♥Sue♥
