Long Week

It's been a long week, a very long week!
I've started a new working pattern which means I have NO FREE AFTERNOONS!
This is bad.
No time to whizz around on my bike getting jobs done.
No, now I have to squeeze it into the evenings and weekends.
I don't like it!
However enough of the moaning Susan.
I have found time to snap some of the things that have happened this week.
We did have a delightful stroll around the common this week and met our feathered friends.
Here's our friend rushing over to greet us!!!!!

Up close and personal.
Bit too up close really, I must confess we did have a little bit of food to entice him.

Unfortunately not everyone got a look in, boy was he cross with that swan, don't you think his face is hilarious!
Let me tell you there was a lot of quacking and that crazy water running that ducks do!

Made a new and very long garland

Love these flowers and that cotton yarn.

Finally the light was good enough to snap this flower hanging too

D'you like it, I love it, especially the vintage buttons.
Although I do have trouble parting company with them, each one is so special.

The beads are old too.
Both are snuggled in my Folksy shop waiting to be re-homed.

And as I was feeling sad about having to work(grumble, grumble) my Mum gave me a bunch of cheery flowers. Lovely MUM!

Also indulged in a bit of yarn therapy,
wait and see.

And today has been a garden day.

Hope you are finding the time to do the things you love with the folk you love.
Off to cook some cakes now!

Things are looking up!

Well hello! I'm a little bit back and it feels good! So what have I been doing? Weeeeeeel alot of things have happened since we last spoke. Let's have a round up. I spent quite a few months coping with fatigue and depression which meant a bit of a standstill with  pretty much everything. Glum times. Life was quiet, slow, gentle. I had to be careful and kind to myself but gradually I felt better found my energy and got back to normal ish. I found gardening and crochet two of the most therapeutic things to do. But the most restorative activity I've been enjoying is, well take a little look.

The Right Honourable Hector Albert Schnauzer

Possibly the happiest dog in the world.

He certainly make me happy, Who knew I'm a dog person! If you want to reduce your stress levels get a Hector! I thought long and hard before getting him, found a kennel club breeder and have spent a long time socializing and training him, he's been a complete joy so responsive and eager to learn. Just the …

Five Photo Friday

Last weekend saw another trip to the woods,  more beautiful bluebells and wild flowers.  It's so wonderful spending time outside in Nature.

I've also been spinning some gorgeous merino. Nice and thin!

Topped off with a little crochet play in the sunshine. Whilst I recover from my day out in the woods!  Yeah a whole week to get over one trip, Chronic Fatigue is RUBBISH!

Still least I can sit in my beautiful garden. How's your week been, what have you all been making, doing, enjoying? Do tell! Love ♥Sue♥

Five Photo Friday

Half term, it's been too short. It's been all about these gorgeous boys. Beautiful Brodie, two weeks today.

And Finlay the most fantastic two year old EVER! That's true, cos I'm his Nana. ♥
Finlay's birthday cake. Just so you all know, I'm never making a Thomas cake again, fiendishly tricky!

We also spent some time checking out Storm Brian. Very stunning he was too.

That's it, end of another holiday. Roll on Christmas then!!!!! Love ♥Sue♥
