Circles of confusion!

I've had a week of going round in circles. Do you ever do that?
You know, you start something then something else then go back to the first thing then start a new thing!
Arghhhh!
Even writing it makes me dizzy!
So what's been going on.
Well do you remember
this post, I showed you my lovely new bag and the wonderful perfect lining.
No
not perfect
not perfect at all.
I tried to like it  but it was just wrong. so I tried some other variations.

Pink with blue spots, oh yes gorgeous, made the lining, popped it in.
Hmmm
No not right
Searched  my stash

No luck there either.
In despair I threw the bag down on my ironing board
it landed on top of my new bargain from Cath.
Oh that's gorgeous I thought

Thank you Cath you saved the day.
I can stop going round in many small circles of confusion,
I now know
WHAT I'M DOING
LOOK!

Made to go together
Scrumptious
Now I know I've promised a Ta dah before but, it's really going to happen,
VERY SOON!
Happy Friday
I'm off, can't stop I've got a bag to line you know!

I will be revealing my bicycle bunting tomorrow, come and see you're going to love it!

Sunday

A beautiful day here in Portsmouth. A hint of Spring in the air and the first outdoor spinning of the year.

It felt good to be outside listening to the birds and soaking up the warm sunshine on the deck.

The cats thought so too! Ghetto having a stretch.

Lord Howard(as he is now known!) relaxing! After an hour sitting in the sunshine it was on with my walking boots and off to the sea.

First stop Milton Common, the sky full of Brent Geese chattering as they flew overhead.

The Solent was particularly sparkly today.

The Hard in Old Portsmouth looked higgledy piggledy and colourful.

Then a final treat as I wandered home, a glorious sunset. A day to lift the spirits and make me glad to be alive! Hope you've all enjoyed a wonderful weekend too. Love ♥Sue♥

Back in the zone

Hello So it's been a while but I think it's safe to say that I'm back in the zone! The spinning wheel is out and I'm loving it. Loving the calm rhythmic movement of fibre flowing through my fingers, watching the bobbins fill with gorgeous colour, enjoying the meditative process that spinning is. I've been spinning some beautiful Alpaca and silk that I dyed AGES ago. It's very soft and fluffy but spins up really well wanting to be thin and sophisticated.

I've also been admiring this beauty, I know a rainbow landed on the rug! It's Milk Fibre, it take dye amazingly well, it's incredibly fine and slippery. I tried spinning it 'neat' but it proved impossible so I'm carding it with Merino.

What do you think?

I'm really pleased, I'm a carding newbie but again it's a wonderful process which I find completely absorbing.

I'm planning on carding each rainbow colour separately I'll let you know how it goes.
So how are you all? Hopefully f…
