Two Ta-dahs!

Well here we are then.
Berry Bright Cushion!

This was another one, you know

turned out.
Love, love, love the colours

Added some cute little flowers to make it more girlie.
And raided the button box for some perfectly pretty buttons.

It's a cute size too.
A dinky 12 inches square.
So do you sense my dilemma?
Yes you've guessed should I just pop out to the yarn shop and buy just a little bit more...........
Just a tiny few balls

Enough to make

Should I?

In the meantime,
Just what every little lady needs for all her essentials
you know

You understand
If I was a little girl I would so want one of these.

It's been languishing in my project basket for ages,
waiting patiently for me to finish it.
Just needed to find the perfect lining.

D'you like it? D'you recognise it?

I haven't got much left, ideal for little projects like this don't you think.
And that's why you should
throw old fabrics and yarns away.

Hope you are enjoying the glorious weather!

  1. Hi Sue, the pillow is darling and YES, it would look great with a complimentary blanket :-)

I love the pastel colors of your bag. It's extra special with the Laura Ashely fabric. Nicely done! Have a great week, xjosie

Five Photo Friday

Half term, it's been too short. It's been all about these gorgeous boys. Beautiful Brodie, two weeks today.

And Finlay the most fantastic two year old EVER! That's true, cos I'm his Nana. ♥
Finlay's birthday cake. Just so you all know, I'm never making a Thomas cake again, fiendishly tricky!

We also spent some time checking out Storm Brian. Very stunning he was too.

That's it, end of another holiday. Roll on Christmas then!!!!! Love ♥Sue♥

Back in the zone

Hello So it's been a while but I think it's safe to say that I'm back in the zone! The spinning wheel is out and I'm loving it. Loving the calm rhythmic movement of fibre flowing through my fingers, watching the bobbins fill with gorgeous colour, enjoying the meditative process that spinning is. I've been spinning some beautiful Alpaca and silk that I dyed AGES ago. It's very soft and fluffy but spins up really well wanting to be thin and sophisticated.

I've also been admiring this beauty, I know a rainbow landed on the rug! It's Milk Fibre, it take dye amazingly well, it's incredibly fine and slippery. I tried spinning it 'neat' but it proved impossible so I'm carding it with Merino.

What do you think?

I'm really pleased, I'm a carding newbie but again it's a wonderful process which I find completely absorbing.

I'm planning on carding each rainbow colour separately I'll let you know how it goes.
So how are you all? Hopefully f…

Five Photo Friday

Last weekend saw another trip to the woods,  more beautiful bluebells and wild flowers.  It's so wonderful spending time outside in Nature.

I've also been spinning some gorgeous merino. Nice and thin!

Topped off with a little crochet play in the sunshine. Whilst I recover from my day out in the woods!  Yeah a whole week to get over one trip, Chronic Fatigue is RUBBISH!

Still least I can sit in my beautiful garden. How's your week been, what have you all been making, doing, enjoying? Do tell! Love ♥Sue♥
